There has been a lot of "talk" lately and many want to know what it must have been like to walk in D. Woods' shoes. For one night in the intimate setting at Joe's Pub, D. Woods will kick off those shoes, let her hair down and invite the audience to get to know her like never before. "MY LIVING ROOM SELF" is an exploration of D. Woods in her most uninhibited, unapologetic, authentic element, on stage, but in her living room. DANCE like no one is watching, SING like no one is listening, and drop the guard that is needed for the lights, camera and social media. It's time to get real!!!

D. Woods is the definition of a multi-hyphenate artist. While most of the general public associates her with being a founding member of the multi-platinum pop/r&b group Danity Kane, what many fail to realize is D. Woods has honed her craft as a dancer, choreographer, singer, songwriter, and actress, since the age of 3 years old. Constantly evolving and reinventing herself, D. Woods established her label WOODGRANE ENTERTAINMENT in 2009, releasing music and producing live events, and displayed the best of all her skills in her Broadway debut in the 7 times Tony nominated Broadway revival of Ntozake Shange’s for colored girls… in 2022 and as a winner of the Off Broadway League’s Lucille Lortell Awards for Outstanding Ensemble and Outstanding Musical in (pray): a sacred offering 2024. But that is only the beginning of what’s to come for this triple threat artist!
